Refund policy
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: August 10, 2026
This policy applies to services purchased from HAUS Outdoor Living LLC (“HAUS”). Project-specific proposals may contain additional terms. When a written proposal conflicts with this general policy, the project-specific provision controls to the extent permitted by law.
-
ESTIMATE REQUESTS
There is no charge to cancel an estimate request unless the customer has agreed in advance to a paid inspection, consultation, design service, testing service, or other nonrefundable professional service.
-
SCHEDULED SERVICES
Customers should provide more than 72 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a service.
A change requested 72 hours or less before the scheduled arrival may result in a $50 late-change fee.
The fee may also apply when HAUS cannot perform the service because:
• The property is inaccessible
• A gate is locked
• Unsafe animals are present
• Required customer preparation was not completed
• The customer or authorized representative prevents the approved work from proceeding
HAUS may waive the fee at its discretion for emergencies, unsafe weather, or circumstances beyond the customer’s reasonable control.
-
WEATHER AND HAUS-INITIATED CHANGES
There is no cancellation fee when HAUS cancels or reschedules because of weather, unsafe conditions, equipment failure, staffing emergency, product limitations, or another circumstance that prevents safe or proper performance.
Amounts paid will remain credited to the rescheduled service unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires a refund.
-
COMPLETED SERVICES
Payments for properly completed services are generally nonrefundable.
If a customer believes the approved service was not properly performed, the customer should contact HAUS within three business days of discovering the concern and provide photographs or reasonable access for inspection.
When a workmanship concern is covered, HAUS must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct it. A refund is not automatically owed when correction, retreatment, or another contractually permitted remedy can reasonably address the concern.
Dissatisfaction caused by preexisting damage, disclosed limitations, continuing pet use, drainage, underlying contamination, prior coatings, material characteristics, weather, or results outside the approved scope does not automatically qualify for a refund.
-
DEPOSITS, MATERIALS, AND SPECIAL ORDERS
A proposal may require a deposit before scheduling, ordering materials, reserving labor, or beginning work.
Unless applicable law or the proposal states otherwise, HAUS may deduct the following from a cancellable deposit:
• Nonreturnable or restocking-charged materials
• Special-order products
• Approved design, inspection, testing, mobilization, or administrative work already performed
• Payment-processing charges that are not returned to HAUS
• Other documented and authorized costs incurred for the project
Construction and installation deposits are governed by the applicable written project contract and all relevant Arizona requirements.
-
HAUS CARE CANCELLATION
Customers may cancel HAUS Care by calling [BUSINESS PHONE] during normal business hours.
The account remains active until HAUS confirms the cancellation. Leaving a voicemail initiates the request, but customers should retain the cancellation confirmation for their records.
This phone procedure applies to ordinary recurring-service cancellation. It does not restrict any statutory cancellation right or required method of cancellation available under applicable law.
Services already performed and charges already earned are nonrefundable.
After subtracting earned charges, approved fees, completed services, and other amounts properly due, any remaining unused HAUS Care balance will be handled as follows:
• Fifty percent of the eligible unused balance will be refunded to the original payment method.
• The remaining fifty percent will be issued as HAUS Credit.
• HAUS Credit may be applied toward eligible future HAUS services performed within 12 months after the cancellation date.
• Unused credit expires after 12 months, has no cash value, is nontransferable, and will not be refunded after expiration.
Refunds may take several business days to appear depending on the payment provider and financial institution.
-
CHANGING HAUS CARE FREQUENCY
Customers may request a change in service frequency at any time.
Changing frequency may change the service price, monthly billing amount, upcoming service date, or accrued account balance. HAUS will explain any required billing adjustment before the new frequency takes effect.
A frequency change does not erase charges already earned or services already performed.
-
FIRST HAUS CARE SERVICE
The first HAUS Care service is charged in full.
If the first appointment is canceled before service, the refund will be determined after subtracting any applicable late-change fee, nonreturnable materials, authorized preparation costs, or other amounts lawfully due.
Once the first service has been completed, that service charge is nonrefundable except when required by law or when HAUS approves another remedy for a verified service failure.
-
FAILED PAYMENTS
A failed payment may be retried.
HAUS may pause future appointments, member discounts, account credits, and other membership benefits until the account becomes current. Pausing service does not erase amounts already due.
-
MEMBER DISCOUNTS AND CREDITS
HAUS Care discounts apply only to eligible services while the membership is active, current, and otherwise qualified.
Promotional credits, HAUS Credits, referral credits, and discounts:
• Have no cash value
• Are not transferable
• Cannot be combined unless expressly permitted
• Apply only to eligible HAUS services
• Expire according to the terms issued with the credit
-
CHARGEBACKS AND BILLING QUESTIONS
Customers should contact HAUS promptly regarding a suspected billing error so the matter can be investigated.
Initiating a chargeback does not cancel a HAUS Care account or eliminate amounts legitimately owed. HAUS may provide the applicable proposal, authorization, invoices, service records, communications, photographs, and account terms to the payment processor when responding to a dispute.
-
LEGALLY REQUIRED CANCELLATION RIGHTS
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Certain sales made at a customer’s home or away from HAUS’s regular place of business may qualify for a legally required cooling-off period. When applicable, HAUS will provide the notices and cancellation forms required by law, and the legally required cancellation rights will control over conflicting provisions in this policy.
